BOSTON SUMMER CAMP 2008

Dates:                             July 7 to August 15, 2008

 

Days:                              Monday through Friday

 

Times:                            8:30 am to 2:30 pm

 

Sites:                              Armor Elementary School, Boston Town Hall,

Saint John’s Church School and Springville pool (swim lessons).

 

Eligible:                           Students presently in grades K through 8

 

Transportation:                Town of Boston residents only, non-residents provide your own transportation.  Do not drop off students before 8 am.

 

Buses/Times:                  Pick up times between 7:50 and 8:30 am. Drop off times 2:30 to 3:30 pm.

 

Cost:                              $150 per child (Boston residents)

                                      $250 per child (non-residents)

Registration Forms:          Mail to or drop off forms at the Boston Town Hall

8500 Boston State Road, Boston, NY  14025.  Registration will also take place at night

and on Saturdays in May.  Check the web site, www.townofboston.com for dates and times.  Deadline for registration is 6/14/08. Late fee after deadline is $30 per child.

  

Refunds:                         No refunds will be given for field trips, due to processing and bus transportation fees.  Refund for camp deadline is 7/1/08.  $30 processing fee on camp refunds due to processing.

 

Immunization:                  Parents/Guardians must supply camp with up to date records, which we need to have on file with the Camp Nurse.

 

Other Programs:              Red Cross swimming, tennis lessons, golf, music lessons, field trips, etc.  Forms can be found on the web site or at the town hall.

 

Field Trips:                     Registration for field trips will take place at each site the first week of camp.

                                               Permission slips will be available to sign.  This change came about due to bus bids

                                     and other scheduling problems. Accurate numbers are needed for buses.  Contact

                                     Debbie Reinecke at 998 - 1771 with any questions.

 

Music Lessons:               Guitar, piano, key board, drums, etc.  Fee $30.

 

Tennis Lessons:              Youth and Adult lessons on Boston Town Courts.

Fee will be charged for this program.  Contact Gary Vara or check the Boston web site.

 

Red Cross Swimming:     Lessons will be given at Springville out door pool.

                                      Fee will be charged and there will be bus service.

Golf Lessons:                 The Town of Boston, in cooperation with the Hamburg Golf course, will offer discount golf to town of Boston residents.  Contact Gary Vara 941-683 or Joe Wenzel 646-5145

What to bring                  Lunch, drink (in thermal bag), and backpack (extra clothes, swim suit/towel on swim days)

 

Activities:                        Arts and crafts, board games, team games, swimming, theme days, tournaments, golf,  handball, water slide, field trips, tennis, kick ball, concerts, obstacle course, health/fitness, track/field, movies, clinics, and much more.
