“Another Successful
Year” Elizabeth
A. Martin, Deputy Town Clerk, Cathy Maghran, BVS School Nurse, David J.
Shenk, Town Clerk, and Jennifer Mulé, Deputy Town Clerk. The residents of
Boston have once again proven that the spirit of Christmas is still
alive. Jennifer Mulé, Deputy Town
Clerk stated, “It is very heartwarming to see such generosity from our
residents.” The sharing tree
is usually put up the week of Thanksgiving, giving residents approximately 3
weeks to return the gifts to the Town Clerk’s office. This allows enough time
for distribution to the families before Christmas. Cathy Maghran,
BVS nurse stated, “The need was huge this year and because of the generous
and caring support from our community, we helped over 30 children from area families.” A very special
thank you to all who opened their hearts to assist those who needed a little
extra help this Holiday Season. For further
information on the Sharing Tree, call Jennifer Mulé, Deputy Town Clerk at
941-6113 x0.
Cathy Maghran! A grateful thank you to the
Boston Parks Department, Kirst Construction, Ed Cary, Larry Steward, Herb
Klein and ALL who volunteered their time and effort on the town’s Christmas
Lighting Committee. It was truly appreciated! To get ready for next year, three
will be an update of all light box sensors and decorations. Any new businesses in town interested in
purchasing holiday lights or silhouettes can do so. Also, donations from town residents would
be greatly appreciated to insure beautiful holiday displays for years to
come. Please contact Cathy Maghran,
Holiday Lighting Liaison, at Boston Town Hall. As Traffic and Safety Liaison, I
would like to inform residents that the Town Council has approved the
installation of s street light at the North Boston Park & Ride for the
safety of commuters using bus transportation during the dark mornings and
afternoons. Also, anyone with concerns
regarding a broken or flickering street light is encouraged to contact David
Shenk at the Boston Town Hall. Lastly, a very
heartfelt thank you to all the residents of the Town who helped make this
year’s Sharing Tree a wonderful success.
Your generosity and thoughtfulness made special Christmas memories for
so many children in our community.
