LEGAL NOTICE:  TOWN OF BOSTON

NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL

(PURSUANT TO SECTION 506 & 512 OF THE REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW)

SECTION 3-3.0 ERIE COUNTY TAX ACT, AS AMENDED

 

Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Boston , Erie County , has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year. A copy hereof is at the Assessor's Office at the Boston Town Hall , 8500 Boston State Road , Boston , NY , where it may be seen and examined by any person interested therein. The Tentative Roll will be available to the public weekdays, beginning May 1st until May 26th, 2009. The hours will be daily from 10 am to 2 pm, also on Thursday, May 14th, 6pm to 8pm and Saturday, May 16th, 9am to 12pm.

 

Complaints with respect to assessment may be filed with the Assessor. You should file your complaint no later than four (4) business days before Grievance Day. Complaints filed with the Assessor will be turned over to the Assessment Board of Review on Grievance Day.

The Assessment Board of Review will meet on Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 at the Boston Town Hall . The tentative hours will be 6 pm to 10 pm by appointment to examine all grievances and complaints. A publication containing procedures for contesting an assessment is available at the Assessor's office or at www.townofboston.com.

 

Notice is hereby given that the assessment inventory and valuation data is available for examination and review. This data is the information that is used to establish the assessment for each parcel that will appear on the Tentative Assessment Roll of the Town of Boston . The information may be reviewed by appointment in the Assessor's office from May 1st, 2009 through Grievance Day, May 26th, 2009. An appointment to review the assessment information and for Grievance Day hearings may be made by telephoning the Assessor's office at 941-6113 Ext. 12, 10am – 2pm, Mon. – Fri.
