Town Board Minutes March 21, 2007
Present: Councilmen Brien M. Hopkins, Councilman Richard K. Hawkins, Dennis J. Mead, Councilwoman Cathleen M. Dobson and Supervisor William A. Eagan.
Also Present: Highway Superintendent Telaak, Town Attorney Downey, Deputy Supervisor Pluta, Deputy Code Enforcement Officers.
A motion was made by Supervisor Eagan and seconded by Councilman Mead to accept the resignation from Thelma Hornberger as Assessor effective 3/22/07.

A motion was made by Supervisor Eagan and seconded by Councilman Mead to appoint Jeneen McSkimming as Assessor effective 3/22/07, term to expire 9/30/07.

RESOLUTION 2007- 06 A BOND RESOLUTION OF THE BOSTON TOWN BOARD (THE ?TOWN?) DATED MARCH 21, 2007 AMENDING RESOLUTION 2006-27 ADOPTED OCTOBER 4, 2006, AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BUILDING, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,375,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SERIAL BONDS IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,375,000 OF THE TOWN, PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL FINANCE LAW TO FINANCE SAID PURPOSE, SAID AMOUNT TO BE OFFSET BY ANY FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY AND/OR LOCAL GRANTS RECEIVED, AND DELEGATING THE POWER TO ISSUE BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF THE SALE OF SUCH BONDS TO THE TOWN SUPERVISOR.

Thomas Tresler, 6785 Liebler Road, inquired about the unresolved drainage situation near his home.
Supervisor Eagan stated that the Town Board is working with Erie County Highway to resolve this problem.
A motion was made by Supervisor Eagan and seconded by Councilwoman Dobson to approve the annual refuse licenses for Allied Waste Services of North America, LLC, Modern Disposal Services, Inc., NEI and Waste Management of NY, LLC.

Highway Superintendent Telaak announced that Brush Pick Up will begin on April 9th and work on Rice Road will begin this spring.
RESOLUTION 2007- 05 OPPOSING REVISION OF 19 NYCRR PART 1203 AS AN UNFUNDED MANDATE
Councilman Mead noted that Deputy Code Enforcement Officers Juda and Lisowski and Conservation Advisory Council Member Hertz will attend the upcoming WNY Storm water Coalition training.
Councilman Mead also noted that the Conservation Advisory Council is seeking the involvement of the Recreation Department to assist in the Earth Day Celebration, most specifically, the Fishing Derby.
Councilman Hopkins noted that because of sight distance problems, intersection warning signs will be installed on Herman Hill Road North and South of Woodlee Court.
