HELPFUL HINTS

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

If a holiday falls Saturday-Sunday, collection will have NO CHANGE.

If a holiday falls Monday-Friday, collection will be ONE DAY LATER.

New Year's Day   Memorial Day    Independence Day    Labor Day         Thanksgiving    Christmas

TIME

Place garbage/recyclable at roadside by 6:30 a.m. (not sooner than 24 hrs. before) on your scheduled collection day.

SIZE/WEIGHT

Bags/Cans may not exceed 30-gallon capacity (70-lb. limit). Materials not in bags/cans must be tied in bundles no longer than four (4) feet.

ITEM LIMIT

Five (5) items (four items if one bulk) refuse plus recyclable bin per unit per week.

BULK ITEMS

One (1) item (appliance, furniture etc.) per unit per week. Items containing CFC's/FREON will be picked up. Large bulk items may be collected the following day.

RECYCLING

1)   Collected same day as refuse. Place in bin.

2)   New builds – Bin delivered by Refuse Company.

3)   Leave bin for new occupant when moving.

4)   If bin lost/stolen/destroyed – call Town Clerk – 941-6113 x0

5)   Recycle bins property of Refuse Co. – use only for recycling.

HAZARDOUS WASTE

Ex: pesticides/oil based paint – contact 858-6370.

BRUSH PICK-UP

April, May, September, October. Annual schedule to be announced.

Easy, economical and efficient way to recycle as it reuses yard waste and enriches the soil.  Spring is perfect time to start backyard compost area.
