Holiday Schedule Guideline

If a holiday falls on

Saturday-Sunday: collection will have NO CHANGE.

Monday-Friday: collection will be ONE DAY LATER.

Holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas

Time

Place garbage/recyclable at roadside by 6:00 a.m.on your scheduled collection day or the evening before scheduled collection day (not sooner that 24 hrs. before).

SIZE/WEIGHT

Bags/Cans may not exceed 30-gallon capacity (70-lb. limit). Materials not in bags/cans must be tied in bundles no longer than four (4) feet in length.

ITEM LIMIT

A limit of five (5) items of acceptable refuse and waste materials will be collected per family unit.

BULK ITEMS

One (1) item (appliance, furniture etc.) per unit per week. An item containing CFC’s/FREON (refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner, etc) will be picked up.

Large bulk items may be collected the following day.

Recycling

  1. Collected same day as refuse. Place in bin.
  2. New builds – Bin delivered by Refuse Company.
  3. Leave bin for new occupant when moving.
  4. If bin lost/stolen/destroyed – call Town Clerk 716-941-6113 x0
  5. Recycle bins property of Refuse Co. use only for recycling.

Electronic Recycling

The Town Hall does not accept electronic recycling. Waste Management WILL NOT pick up your E-Waste.

CHANGE IN NYS LAW FOR ELECTRONICS RECYCLING, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2015

Sunnking Accepted Materials For Recycling and Best Buy might also take Electronic recycling.

Cars

Wheels For Wishes is a vehicle donation program benefiting Make-A-Wish Western New York. At no charge to residents, they pick up or tow away vehicles, anywhere in New York.
